Yeah, I think it's a quite good combination. You don't?
1. it's your army, not mine
2. I do I would probably try to make paintjobs more flashy and striking, but I guess this might come with next steps and after painting details.

Sure, it is mine, but I still might want to hear other opinions, maybe I'm blinded with the pink fog of love for these figures and don't see the obvious
There is still a lot of work to do, thanks for sharing your thoughts

Could you please write an article about painting your force? I think Mahon would gladly post it on main page
Why I am asking for this? I know few people who have Dystopian Wars armies, but play with them unpainted. Or even don't play it, because of being unpainted! The reason is they don't know how to paint them, because they are so different from normal miniatures. From what I can see now you are doing very well. I think such article would really help them a lot.
Thanks I can give it a go, sure. I keep making photos as I progress, so there is already some picture material. I'll wrap it up at the end in an article and send it to you. I can't promise a date though, I have a lot of other stuff to do (work, family, these things ) so the progress might be slow .
There is no progress yet, but we played our first game on the weekend, which was pretty cool. We have spent a considerable amount of time with looking for rules and answers in the book, but still it was enjoyable.
On the second one you can see the Prussian fleet of the friend of mine I played with. We bought our boxes at the same time and he is already ready with painting... I guess I have to push it a bit harder
So after recovering from the flu we were passing to each other in the family, I managed to finish my Diogenes class frigates. Here is a quick shot how they look like:
