looks good so far :) transitions between shadow and chighlight on the cloth are bit too abrupt, some additional mid-layers would probably help.

:juggle: you got the light but with such strong light - shadows will be much stronger - like on this material betwen legs - dunt see similar light on armour (shadows)

Like the freehand work, a definite example of less is more :D
Getting back into the thick (or rather thin as in thinning my paints) of it, not picked up a brush in some time so this may hurt a bit until I get used to the feel of them again

Dakan's colourful circus

Post by Dakan »

Hello again!!
As Arnold said: I'll be back! ...so after long time I am back. 8)
This two years I haven't much time to work on my minis. But now It's better, so I am coming here with my Xmas progress :) ...

This lovely dwarf is Grimwald by La Ruota del Tempo. Its really great mini. I'm making it without helmet and after inspiration in film The Hobbit I tryed easier type of Dwalin tattoo. I hope, you'll like it :curtain:

Other progress is older mini - Rackham dwarf, whom I have as relaxing figure. And I'm trying some new things on it too...

Today I finished shoulderpad on a body of Grimwald. I am doing NMM armour for a fourth time and there is a lot of hardwork yet, but I am quite satisfied with a result.
Next progress will be in new year...so Happy new year fools! ;)
