I guess so, i still dont know how to, or what to use, its still in a very early stage.

So far i have leafs to put in the floor (greens and browns)ImageClick to see full-sized image
,a nice forest floor with nice greens, lots of diferent heigths for the grass.

I have also some ivys to paint to try to put around the tree.

I almost sure ill sculpt some mushrooms in the tree.

As for the foliage itself im still reading and learning what to use.

i will finish the mini today, just the sword and the camo in the arm to go, then going for the tree base.

Any sugestions?

just don't add any 'funny' mushrooms. the diorama looks serious. don't mix conventions...

Hi,

i cant take the credits for the tree, its natural, i used a old dead bonzai that i was saving.

Heres some more photos of the mini and its progress, im quite unhappy with how it looks in the photos, cos i can see lots of mistakes in the face and eyes (my fault since i should have better lightning wend working) im quite happy with the arms and the flesh camo.

I was going for a greenish tshirt but it looked out of place.

Then i though i liked the Dheneb Stone from GW foundations and went for it.
The look was ok, but was lacking depth so i hadded a bit of Smoke from Vallejo.
And it brought some life to the model

But now after some troubles (gravity acidents and the need of helping from my cats  ) i had to redo the eyes (wich i hate now).

So i have finished the mini, only need some touchs on the blade. I painted it black with some soft grey highlights.

Now i need to decide if i repaint the eyes cos they dont look that bad looking at them but in the photo :suicide:, or leave it and go on to the base.

Ill post more photos later

i went for a small redo on the face and eyes, i think its much better like this, but i need to give a little dot on one eye (photo show all that needs to be corrected )

I think its done tell me you opinions, critics or sugestions.

your reds have not covered base layer smoothly and evenly.
shadows on the nose and head (starting from the eye's corner) are too deep imho
