What music do you listen to when you paint?

Post by ToMaZ »

I'm just wondering...

I for example allways listen to jazz (electro and classical) when I paint. But normally I listen to rock and "alternative".
For some reason I just can't listen to that when I paint...

I guess I just like the soft tunes on the background

Cheers!!

there was a time when i was able to listen to epic metal while painting, but now i prefer silence or some soft tune, like Smoke City's Flying away or some jazz

I loved listening to some disturbing music - like alternative jazz, german industrial music, or some hardcore stuff...

It was when I lived with my parents. Now I usually listen to TV in the backgroung (ie. behind my back)

Normally I also have simply the TV on in the background, or I listen to some chillout music, like the Hotel Costes albums.

Ah, the infamous music topic had arrived! :D

I like to listen to scores(?) from movies. For example I have some of the following in my collection:

Gladiator, Lotr(3x), Stargate, Willow, Last of the Mohicans, Star Wars etc, etc...

I have a very broad taste of music so it kinda depends on how I feel at the moment. One day it can be Metallica or Clannad and the next Andrea Bocelli or Juan Luis Guerra. (latin)

Usually what's in my cd changer ... I have a pretty big collection at the moment ranging from Prodigy to Dimmu Borgir.
I do prefer black metal though ... it keeps me focussed because I really try and listen to the music and paint at the same time. May sound kinda hard but it works for me.

If I take a break from Black Metal it's usually something groovy like In Flames, Papa Roach, System Of A Down, etc.
Or else some easy listening such as The Gathering...
