Hi there!
I spent the last days working on two girs, but they are still unfinished. But it doesn't matter, because I have a social backlog here.
I have three works to roll out
The first one is an orc: "Games Day 2007 Orc Boss".
I painted him only on my initiative (nobody want orks from me ... and maybe thanks to your honesty I will know why)
From Polish forum I know that the concept of the base is controversial.
Most people reproach the base (cube) as taking the focus from the mini.
And the color scheme was too screaming / to diverse for some of them.
What I can say about mini is:
I like oldschool mood of orcs, and I tried to refer to it with my colors and the concept of this model's atmosphere.
I wanted to make a grotesque composition - as suggested by the pose of the mini, so I added the base.
Maybe it is difficult to see but the added elements on the cube are supposed to say: "We can take our own care about good dice rolls".
The fluff of the army is most important and that's why the base is on equal rank with this mini to me.
But of course (after my treatise) I will read your opinions with pleasure

The second thing is diorama that was waiting and waiting to be shown.
Thanks to Nameless' opinion I added more contrast on it - light is sharper now.
The minis were chosen by the customer and Mahon, I added a little conversion:
The ogre has resculpted waist and neck. On the back I took off the standards, and added them to the base and cannon. On the back I put a weapon (probably from Rackcham).
I found and added two Forsaken or Chaos Spawns (the choice is yours).
These two minis are from Heresy.
These are the original versions of the minis that I used:

The last mini is my first Necron Mood of this army is what I like very much, too.
Some day I would like to paint a mini for this army that would be dusty and damaged
For this one my inspiration was pharaohs:

And here is the boss: Imhotekh StormLord. I prepared a tutorial about this work on the blog here.

Commented on the first two in the mail to mahon.
The Necron is cool, idea is top, painting even more so. One thing perhaps, the bottom end of the staff seems very bright, is this focal point intended?

and I would just love to know what colors you used to get the blue effect on the cloak. Great work.
Currently painting 15mm's with an extremely large brush - one step away from dipping them in the pot.

Re: I am ready for discussion ;)
wonderfull work as always, but i will coment only the ork.
For me the only problem with the ork is the mask in front of him i think its stealing all the great work made to the miniature, other than that its a great work

I like he Necron as well, but i feel that the armor/gold seems a bit to dull. I hope you don't take offence. but that is the only thing the seems a bit out if place to me.

Well, that diorama would..is...will...I'm speechless really, it's so not only good but so unconventional. Usually minis are aquired to be kept as they are, more or less unchanged, but you mercileslly ab/used them to produce a 3d painting really, which in style reminds of Bosch's works: dark, hellish, morbid. And I'm very fond of this style. So just bravo!
Eagerly awaiting more masterworks as this one.
