hi,
I'll contribute something to this great new forum as well
the last figure I finished, it's a hero for my dark elf army. I still haven't varnished him, I'll propably redo the piece of cloth around his neck.

the cape is great - you managed to keep it dark but interesting.
it's a pity the freehand is a bit lost in the photo

The cape is really good, the armor is also very well done. Nice freehand on the cape. But the sword could use some more shading. Good job.

I agree, the color of the scarf doesn't suit the the rest of the model very well.
And I think the blacklining between the face and hair is a bit too heavy.
I very much like the subtle freehand on the inside of the cloak.

Looks nice. I especially like his mean-looking face

I do not feel competent to judge the mini but a base should be more cleaner done. A shame that so nice mini have so dirty base...

The picture really doesn't do the base any justice unfortunately, but I'll see if I can tidy up a little bit.
I've had some comments on the sword, unfortunately my skill with that copper colour is much better than my skill with regular steel
thx for the comments so far !

I agree, you sometimes need to pay more attention to the sides of the base, and the way you attach the small metal plate. This can cost you points on a painting competition

Very nice mini! I have the same model, but it has a horrible moldline runnig across his face.
I really like the armour and cape. It's nice to see an other colour than black on the hair.
Good work

my mini has the same horrible mold line
I cut it away and made it into a big scar across his face, which you can't see on the picture.
