Re: Lots of Work In Progress (most of my model collection)
Yeah, I've been highlighting the edge of each one (which takes a while but never mind) before I put a wash over it I think. Then I will give drybrushing them a go as well. The only issue being I've just moved house, so the model, paints and brushes are somewhere in amoung the sea of boxes. On the pl...

Re: Almostsane's Showcase
I like the High Elf Archers, they look very clean and crisp (and you didn't make my mistake of sticking them together befor checking they rank up, I have a unit where they are all shooting each other in the back of the head). The Dreadfleet stuff looks good as well, I always thought they would be in...

Re: Hello
Thanks everyone. Nice to meet you all.
Hopefully I will have fun, and become a better painter. I've posted some bits to the showcase and WIP sections and will try and update them as I go.

Re: Lots of Work In Progress (most of my model collection)
Right, I managed to get a little bit of painting done over the weekend. I'm mostly working on the High Elf Lord on the Griffon, in particular the Griffon. I've tried to layer some more colour onto the wings, but I'm looking for feedback on what to do to enhance them and build them up further. Initia...

Lots of Work In Progress (most of my model collection)
Right, having posted some "finished" models I thought I should post some of the stuff I have as Work In Progress. Again feedback is welcome as I would like to improve. The stuff is also a bit varied, as I tend to a) Paint things I like the look of b) Get easily distracted. Right, time for some photo...

Re: Once in a while I manage to "finish" a model
Thanks. I ended up with two of each model from the Island of Blood boxed set which is why I have done half blue and half green for some variation. I might do any other models for army in the green colour scheme. I do thin the paint a bit (more so now then when I painted those elves) but probably nee...

Re: Once in a while I manage to "finish" a model
Okay some more "finished" models. Again I guess these would count as a decent tabletop standard, what I need to figure out is what to work on/improve to move up to the next "level" as it were. These are Ellyrian Reavers, again from the Island of Blood boxed set (noticing a pattern?) They are done in...

Re: Once in a while I manage to "finish" a model
Yeah, as it turns out I got the High Elves from two Island of Blood sets, so I've been trying to do one lot with a blue theme and the other with a green theme. The dragon was an extra but I thought the red and green would make for a good contrast. Nice tabletop level is a good start, gives me someth...

Once in a while I manage to "finish" a model
Hello to all, I thought a good start on here would be to post some pictures of models I consider finished, and get some (hopefully not too harsh :)) feedback on them. To begin with I have two models that I consider finished, both High Elves. Apologies in advance if the photos aren't great, they were...

Re: Hello
Hi Thanks for the welcome :) I will see what I can do about pictures (there are a couple here http://www.flickr.com/photos/ruanae/7040108641/ and http://www.flickr.com/photos/ruanae/7671980518/ here but I will try and take better ones) Yeah, I picked up the rules for malifaux because it sounded inte...
