Chest of Colors forum

Bought from the local GW store, odered into store especially. I have sent a finecast back before, but for things like complete face missing.

I dont want to start a finecast discusion, I was just wondering if the people on this forum would send this mini back or not? I love this model, but it will take me so long to try and fix it.

Well finaly completed one! work has started on two more, trying to keep the standard the same.

Well I finished my Cadian Guard. Im pretty pleased with how it turned out. Im currently painting some more to the same standard.

I think I know what you mean, I wanted to keep the coat dark though. Think if i'd have started off darker I could have been able to add more highlights and still kept it dark.

Thought i'd try and paint up an Imperial Guard. Im pretty pleased so far. Dont know how people find time to paint entire armies!

It's ok, think it was quite a dark wash then a couple of highlights. If I'm honest if I did it again I would make the overall skin tone darker. Being supposed to be a rugged dwarf an all that.

Well made some progress, think that will be it for another week if the wife gets her way!

Ok here is todays work, im pretty happy with it, my best work yet.

Not happy about the slip in the beard, will have to be rectified later.

A lot of usefull tips on here, one question though. Im kinda a slow painter, when your using so little paint on youre brush how do you stop it from drying on ...
