Re: Amadis showcase
Yes this is a really nice piece well done. The the mood is really conserved throughout the mini
The only think I want to point out is that the dwarfs can stand out a bit more from the base. They look more like they are part of the base than the mini it self.

Re: Little jimbo's WIP
Isn't the paint your're using a bit too thick? I get this feeling. To make a betteer effect you need to make the color transitions more subtile. To achive this, you need to take more time and make more layers. I also think you need to make the shadows stronger on gold elements. Hmm the paint I use ...

Re: Little jimbo's WIP
I have made a bit more progress mainly by repainting parts of the mini. I am not happy about the placement of the U-logo, but otherwise I liked it. any comments and critics are welcome as this mini is all about improving. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-LRPdKjZsP7Q/UaeWzEGtZTI/AAAAAAAAA3s/6yI8mG8...

A quick paint job after a long time without serious painting. It is nice to be painting once more.

Re: Little jimbo's WIP
Hello I am trying to so some test NMM gold and I am not completely satisfied with the result, see the picture. I know some placement of foci are wrong. But the bolt gun is my main concern. I hope you can give some pointers how to improve the bolt gun and the colors. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com...

Re: Cold highlight and warm shadows
Not sure if you mean the same thing I have in mind but anyways. One example that fits your question would probably be the color Red . Instead of using a darker red and later black for your shadows, you can use for example purple or green which are on the cool site of the color wheel and mix them wi...
