Thanks for the comments everybody!
I've got some ideas on what to do with the axe that'll I'll try and figure out.
The head is what it is by now I think. I think a darker helm would have worked better to draw the eye but I've got an idea on how to make it pop more that I'll be testing tomorrow. I ...

Re: Julgrodan's workbench
Think he's about as good as he'll get now. Need to work some on his hands and the axe but other than that I think I'll move on to his base now.
Comments and critique very welcome, I've made good use of the comments I've received so far!

Re: Julgrodan's workbench
Thanks for the comments, always helpful to get the opinions of other's. Been to tired and poorly to paint all that much but back with the brush this evening I managed this.

Re: Julgrodan's workbench
Thanks maru! Skin has some spots with veins showing. WIll work on it some more for sure.
Sooo... some more progress. Cloth, chainmail and armour got a workover. Axe is not done but I'm quite pleased with it so far. I'm not sure about the wristguard. The verdigris is just to strong and doesn't fit ...

Re: Julgrodan's workbench (update march 8)
Argh, as I'm posting this I realize I forgot to take new pictures of the beastlord. He now has brown hair which suits him much better...
Anyhow!

Re: Julgrodan's workbench
Yeah, I'm seeing the yellow may not have been the best choice. It will be redone in some darker colour.
I can't shade the tyranids a whole lot more, they're only 6 mm tall and at a distance they get really dark as it is

Re: Julgrodan's workbench
Thank you, I'll look into those things for sure. I suppose what I'm aiming for is showcase. I have a hard time not painting things as well as I can. But I also need to stop tweaking things and move on with what I've learned. I have some rather grandiose ideas that I'm hoping to start working on

Re: Julgrodan's workbench
Thanks for the comments! I probably should have mentioned all the bases are just basecoated, I tend to leave that for last and these ones are just drybrushed so far!

Re: The Grandmaster and the witch hunter
Nice stuff there. Really like the sun/moon on the grandmaster. Solid freehand on the suns on the barding as well. Not sure how I like the axe though, the blue tones look a little to much like the armour for my liking.
Very nice vibrant red on the witchhunter, nice vibrant colours on him in general ...

Julgrodan's workbench
First post here, but don't hold back. I love good critique! :)
Stuff that I've recently "finished". Think I may need more contrast in the colour transitions among other things... curious to hear what you all think.
Beastlord - nothing fancy, tried going for red/green and yellow/blue throughout the ...
