Well, these makes me wish I hadn't decided to not buy new models till I'd worked through some of my backlog. Also that I had money.

Awesome models, is what I'm trying to say here. I love beastmen with a passion, and these are the first really good sci-fi ones I've seen.

If they can make a model even close to that concept, I'll be getting one.

Strangely enough, even though this sculpt combines a couple of things I normally really dislike (steampunk aesthetic, unnecessarily scantily clad chick), I love it. If the actual cast is any good, I'll probably have to get one.

Furthermore, it's worth noting that that is a Flexible Funding style campaign, which means that whether or not it reaches its goal, the company still gets the money. So the lesson here is make sure the people you fund are people you'd like to give money to, whether or not you get something for it.

I think the first one would look considerably better if she were resting the axe-head on the ground, and had her hands on the end of it's haft (pommel? Iunno, that's what it would be called in a sword), rather than how she's holding it now.

So, I hate to say it, but I'm throwing in the towel on this one. Turns out that trying to balance painting with school work and applying to study abroad isn't much of a balance at all. No way I'm gonna have something done, let alone presentable, by tomorrow.

Fair enough. I did know about Kharn, but I thought he was a bit of a special case in the "slaughtering his own men" regard. I had forgotten that the heresy wasn't a complete split in the traitor chapters, though - thanks for that reminder.
