They look flat, sry. :( I really liked what you did with Blackheart. The contrast u achieved there made the mini more interesting. I do know that you want them done as fast as possible but I guess u are using an airbrush for these guys? If so try to do some shadows and highlights "zenithal lightning" wise. These would increase the overall contrast and they would really benefit from some sharp edge highlights to make the parts better distinguishable which also should make them "pop" more on a gaming table. :)

Jason clearly wanted table-top quality for this unit. Quick and simple paintjobs to sell on e-bay.
so, why the comments about quality? You are all of course right with your remarks, I just don't think Jason needs them. Quality was not his goal :)

So, Jason, did you get a good bid for these? :)

@Phil: the pics I posted are minis painted in tabletop quality, thus I made the remarks :)

what makes a good e-bay sale? time spent vs money received.
if Jason is happy with his ratio, let him paint this way :) it's not the first time he produced this quality for e-bay, apparently it works for him.

Sure if it works, just trying to help him perhaps makes a little more money for little more time spend :)

@Nameless I'm completely with you on this one but as far as I know Jason is working with an airbrush (if I'm wrong nevermind :D) and in this case he could do some easy highlighting / shading considering a zenithal lighning which shouldn't cost too much time but help make his minis stand out more and his ebay-sales. :)

hey guys didnt think a few space men could create such a discusion :)

hellspawn: I agree that those minis are awsome but from my experience people on ebay seeem to be a bit tight with their moneys to warrent spending that much time on one unit when I could push out 4-5 units in the same time frame and thus making more money for the same effort

p1per: yeah I have a airbrush and I did do a bit of zenithal (shadow VMC 70%blackred30%black then went up to GW70%bloodred VMC30% medium fleshtone) but for the life of me every time I take pics of red they turn out shite  maybe just stick to blue space men

cheers nameless you hit the nail on the head, time spent money received
