Went to GenCon in Indianapolis IN, USA and stopped by the CMON booth. The minis they had did NOT impress me in the least and the staff at the booth did not even try to help me find things. The DVD was for sale but the booth did not even have it showing on a monitor so people could see what it was like. Needless to say I did not purchase anything at the booth.

Pretty sure I saw several bits of the DVD on the big screen they had suspended over the table where Natalya was painting. The staff also asked me many times if I needed help finding anything. Tre was working the booth there too, and I spent a bit of time talking to him there (and elsewhere).
Maybe other times were different. Dunno.

Saturday AM staff was not helpful. And the video was not playing at all. Oh well...

Wow ... way to cheapen your talents as a painter and distract people from your obvious talent by having a huge amount of cleavage on display when she could easily have worn something else a little bit more modest - I think the glass ceiling just lowered a couple of inches.
Currently painting 15mm's with an extremely large brush - one step away from dipping them in the pot.

For me, showing 4 inches of hairy rear cleavage would not help my ebay sales in the slightest. Where's the vomit emoticon when you need it!Dargrin wrote:100% agree here. Little clevage = good book sales lot of clevage = mega sales.Nameless wrote:sex sells

Re: CoolMiniOrNot news
time for the guardian to intervene
I've been watching the trailer again, and I think one of (probably many ) Natalya's secrets is that she uses a 10/1 brush almost all the time, not only for freehand or details. She also seems to do some sort of wet blending: where she highlights a surface, and then immediately shades it again with a darker color.
The way she puts paint on the palette is also quite interesting: instead of drawing paint from a mixed puddle of paint (like I do) she mixes everything on the fly...

You've put a smiley there, but seriously that's what I think the dvd will be like for us, experienced painters. Just some different techniques like mixing colors, blending, some tools we might try out.mahon wrote:do you still need the DVDs now that you know it all?
But in the end it's simply all about making the colors blend well and having a steady hand...
