Yarrrr!!

I'm planning to convert/sculpt a pirate cryx force. Based on the fluff of Skarre. I know, the theme isn't that new or original, but who gives a damn  I just like pirates :pirate: and I want a real theme going through my army.

Now I need some ideas for the (undead) pirates. I've brainstormed a bit to find items I can sculpt or add to the figs (long list):

- Eyepatch
- Bandanas
- Hats
- Anchor
- Cannon(balls)
- Chains, handcuffs
- Pistols/longguns/blunderbuses
- Sabers
- Daggers
- Monkey (?)
- Parrots/other birds
- Wooden legs
- Hooks
- Rum/booze/barrels
- Skulls
- Treasure/gold
- Treasuremap
- Flags/banner
- Beards
- Earrings
- Heavy boots
- Big belts/gunbelts/ammobelts
- Small (money)bags hanging from belts
- Open shirts, striped shirts, lace on sleeves (?)
- Stringed shirts
- Scope (or what's it called)
- Kompas
- Golden teeth
- Longcoat
- fish, octopus
- seashells
- crabs/clams
- chest filled with gold
- privateer flag (jolly flag)
- aqua creatures

If anyone got something that I could add to this list, please let me know :)

Also what should I do for basing? I was thinking about a shipdeck or wood. But how could I make it more interesting? Or should I go for something else?
I need the bases to tie them together, as I can't really do that with clothing/colorschemes.

For miniatures I try to limit myself to PP miniatures (tourney legal) but I could use parts of other miniatures too. So if you have any tips for parts etc, lemme know :)

Thanx matey

jolly roger flag (or some IK equivalent)
steering wheel and other parts of a ship
naked chick figure at the front of a ship
chests with gold
ropes
water, sand, palm trees :)

As for non-PP parts/model - I suppose that any pirate (dead or alive) or zombie/skeleton part could be used for converting models. There are too many of them to put all links, but I think those two links could be helpful (at least as an inspiration)

Reaper's Razig and his mates
Moonlight pirates

and as funny add-ons:
water creatures

@ Demi: I've been thinking about a beach base, but I'm not sure about it yet. The way I imagine it, it looks a bit too plain.

@ Nameless: those water creatures are ideal. Need to put them in my list for sure. And those reaper pirates look good too. For use and for some more ideas :) Thanx
