nope, nothing official yet.

for now I can tell you what I know about most probable categories:

1. single model (small)
may be divided into fantasy/scifi if many entries are presented
2. large model
3. unit
4. army
5. diorama/duel
6. open category

rules will most likely be not too restrictive, any manufacturer goes
i think ability of entering works which have already won something (probably GD only, as this is meant to be a kind of replacement) will be limited, because otherwise we will only see what we've already seen in previous two years
but that's not sure yet....

i think you right to limit entries for GD winning stuff , they could be shown as showcase eventually

if this contest had to replace polish GD, it should begin with brand new stuff

Personally i've always been a little annoyed at people re-entering models for different competitions. Just seems a tad lame and lazy. I think if i were going i'd paint up something completely new each time.

the real problem is how to check if works are new or have been entered elsewhere.
GDs tend to be monitored by the community so are pretty easy to keep track of, that's why I suggested that.

Some of you may know the reason of our absence here, but now we're back!
We were in Warsaw at the Slayer of Daemon painting contest and we're really happy with the event!

First of all we managed to meet many of our old friends and some new ones!
Second, we're happy that the loss of Polish GD didn't leave the community discouraged and demotivated, and a new contest emerged from what was left after the GDs!

No restrictions to just one manufacturer, no period, no theme, no scale.... Great opportunity to present really different models.

Seven categories, and a VERY nice trophy for the winner:

photos will surely follow, as the official coverage is being prepared...
