1st Chest of Colors Miniature Exchange gallery

My receipient was Demi. :D

Now it was hard and easy at the same time to find something for him. I wanted to paint something that would fit in with the rest of his miniatures, yet be original. I had a Skaven Plague Priest lying around that I had converted for a GD and immediatly settled on what I'd do for him! 8)

Here are my crappy pics that Imho don't do the model justice. A lot of depth and highlights don't appear and especially the sword look cool which you can't see.

However they'll do and Demi will hopefully take better pics!

He had a great idea to include two nice touches in this model: the big chest is the CHEST OF COLORS, while the small box is the BOX OF BRUSHES :D

I was lucky enough to get her much earlier, when Nameless visited us during his trip to Golden Demon :)

Thanks a lot, man! I appreciate it and it means a lot to me!

As far as I know he liked her, so the goal was achieved. But why shouldn't a man like such a girl?

Not a stellar job (we've got other painters here for better paintjobs, after all), but I liked the color scheme enough to make parting with her difficult
Maybe I will paint another one for my own collection one day?

Not a paintjob to go "wow" about, but the thing I am proud about is that I actually managed to paint ANYTHING... which is a very rare accomplishment for me these days :)

No applause needed, just wanted to share :)

Ah, there will probably be no better pics (especially of the yummy other side...) as I had to hurry to meet the deadline and had no time to take good pics :(

But maybe Skrit manages to take some decent photos?

The postman first didn't want to give it to me, because Demi wrote Tomaz Peckerlord Thijs on the package :D

what can I say? I'm very glad the exchange is almost 100% successful, I'm even more happy I wasn't the one who didn't get the model
anyway I like a lot paintjob Skrit did on the plague priest - it looks much better in my display cablot than on pictures shown :) if I manage to find my camera I'll try to take new photos (although I'll probably have to invest in new equipment after x-mas madness :? )

btw, Skrit wrote: "Demi morgana Piotr Mikians" and I had no problem with getting my model from the postman

I like the miniature - very rusty. Pretty good job on the base too.
Yeah, right. PP dominated the exchange

Thanks Tanya, I love it :rose: haven't seen a better paintjob from you, I do appreciate it. If you have better pics, please post them.
Info for those not familiar with Reaper range - this is limited mini available only on one of ReaperCons (2006? 2007?).
