Re: endrem's WiPs
Thanks guys
Hull has 3 different colors, highlighted with drybrushing in 2 layers, then refined with brown and black washes. There is the wooden floor as well, which has 1 color, drybrushed and washed with brown similarly to the hull. The chimney is painted with Gunmetal Grey and washed with black. Windows are painted blue and the engine exhaust (or what ) is gonna be green like on the frigates.
No, actually I used exactly the same colors and way of painting. I'm still trying to paint as fast as I can with possibly least quality loss.sea.man wrote:did you improve the paintings scheme formula?

So there is a little update again, the Cruisers are ready.
I know, I'm slow, I guess I'm trying to do too many things at once

Nice. Close up pics is really cool, though maybe something else than huge white background/support would help to see how cool it would look like on a table for the "family pic", cause right now, I had hard time making the difference between the painted version and the only black undercoated ones.

Here is a quick group shot of my current Covenant force:

New painted things are:
1 x Daedalus Class Large Flyer
2 x Icarus Class Medium Flyers
3 x 5 Tokens
3 x Thales Class Corvettes
3 x Plutarch Class Destroyers
1 x Callimachus Orb (water has to be finished (or cut ))
The background is still white, but I hope the picture's better now.
(Edit: Spelling)

Re: endrem's WiPs
BTW, did you make any photos while painting them? Tutorial would be great!

Re: endrem's WiPs
Thanks a lot guys
These are the colors I used:
All of them are primed white, then using an airbrush I applied a coat of VMC Grey Green (#866). I used then two colors for the camo pattern: VMC Dark Blue Grey (#904) and another which I suppose was Pale Blue (#906), but the writing is all off the bottle.
Then I did some ...erm... drybrushing . Twice. Once roughly everywhere with a 50:50 mix of white and Dark Blue Grey, then another more careful one with more white mixed in (almost completely white).
After that I applied some shadow glazes with Model Air Burnt Umber (#71040) and Model Air Black (#71057). The first gives a sort of rusty feel, the second enhances contrast where needed.
On the Flyers I tried to make more brighter spots in the camo pattern. Here I have also used metallic colors for the engines. I started off with Model Color Oily Steel (#865), then applied some highlights with VGC Silver (#72052), then used the same shades as above, in addition to some Model Air Olive Green (#71007) glazes.
The decks are different, forgot the first combination I used on the Battleship. On the flyers I used VGC Cobra Leather (#40) and VMC Woodgrain (#828). Highlights are drybrushed on with mixed in white.
The windows are painted simply blue, some turrets got a bit of Game Color Livery Green (#33) luminance.
That's basically it. I'm going to look up some WiP pictures and add them here.
Here are two others I made yesterday:
