Getting back into the thick (or rather thin as in thinning my paints) of it, not picked up a brush in some time so this may hurt a bit until I get used to the feel of them again

On the ork especially I see where some blacklining, or at leats very dark lining might help seperate areas of the mini. Like the hand grasping the axe and the eyes in the face.

As for me the flesh could've been done better:
you can achieve smoother transitions by applying several layers of greenish glazes

The orc and commissar are very good.
Maybe on the second base you could put something more.
What really you should change is the grey painting of the plith. I think that black or bark brown are much better and don't catch eye that much (and look more pro ).
