Fair enough. If I remember right, the house is from a fairly obscure company. The Scibor base is sort of inexcusable, though. (Especially given all of Scibor's "SF Knights." I can't imagine that hasn't gotten GW's attention...)
Fortunately, only one of my planned entries involves a lot of rivets.

that's what happens when GW gets judges not connected to GW ^^

But the "community watch" is always on the lookout for such incidents

True enough. Not to mention, there are enough good sculptors out there that it would be difficult to see when some elements are from another company and when they are truly scratched. But it'd be nice to see a Demon or two revoked after the fact, just to keep everyone honest. Remy is a personal favorite artist of mine, and I have no particular wish to see his award revoked, but if his Demon/Slayer Sword were taken back, that would probably be a strong sign for everyone else to toe the line and not try to get away with something.sea.man wrote: I think that making such rules that you can't verify is just stupid. No one knows all the products from all producers, so how GD judges can quickly verify entries?
That, or GW puts up some more detailed criteria as to what is and isn't acceptable.

yeah, like they care. it's all about promotion and pics of fantastic models for their site and white dwarf.
Re: Golden Demons 2011: Slayer sword winners + opinions
and we need to remember about it - it's their contest, they set the rules, they decide how much they care. don't like it - don't participate. many people turned away from GDs, but many still participate.

I suppose. I guess most of my frustration comes from the fact that with my luck, I'll get disqualified for sure if were to even try something small.

Try, then blame it on your bad luck.
