p1per's WIPs

Post by p1per »

Hey all!

This is going to be my WIP thread. :)

My next miniature is Seamus The Mad Hatter from Wyrd. Not much to see yet but here's the first WIP shot (I also did some sketches for the base but I have to get some stuff first before I can start building it):

Image

Colors used so far (the ratio's are basically my "drop count" so 2:1 would be "2drops paintX:1drop paintY):

Shadow III: GW Tallarn Flesh : GW Scroched Brown (1:1)
Shadow II: GW Tallarn Flesh : GW Scroched Brown (3:1)
Shadow I: GW Tallarn Flesh : GW Scroched Brown (6:1)

Basecoat: GW Tallarn Flesh

Highlight I: GW Tallarn Flesh : VMC Dark Flesh #019 (3:1)
Highlight II: GW Tallarn Flesh : VMC Dark Flesh #019 (1:1)
Highlight III: GW Tallarn Flesh : VMC Dark Flesh #019 : GW Skull White (1:1:2)
Highlight IV: GW Tallarn Flesh : VMC Dark Flesh #019 : GW Skull White (1:1:4)

Hair:

Basecoat: GW Shadow Grey : VMC Black #169 (2:1)

Highlight II: GW Codex Grey : GW Skull White (2:1)

Let me know what you think - critique's welcome. ;)

Cheers

looks fantastic, though transitions on the hat could be smoother. at least if you want to keep your ultra-smooth-cartoony style :)

thx a lot guys! Glad you like him. :)

@sea.man I'm just a painter. ;) I played Confrontation (ruleset Co2 if that tells you anything) once but other than that I didn't play anything. I enjoy painting much more than playing and it would probably take me years to finish an entire army.
