I'm too busy with working on my house and work in general at the moment. I even don't have the time to get stuff drawn for friends... so a painting contest is out of the question for me as I can't commit either.

Maybe if it's organised in fall/winter?

I agree with Tomaz that we should plan this quite a few months in the future.

If the purpose of the competition is to bring more people to the site and the forum I think it's best that the competition is open to everyone and that WE are the judges.

The most important thing is that WE have fun and paint :)
If we attract someone new it will be an extra ;)

As nice as competitions go, such as WAMP which has in my eyes almost exclusively advertised itself as a competition forum, I find myself not staying there often even for the competitions. I agree it's a nice way to get people there but the trick is getting them to stay.

I like the idea of competitions and painting challenges between people it's just finding that something to make it seem much more than just a competition. Maybe it's just me ?

Perhaps I should do a painting challenge against sea man ^^

Thank you for you comments!
Painting contest won't be an alternative to ME, I think it would be an addition and another opportunity to paint miniatures.
ME takes place twice a years, so there is plenty of thime to something more.
I am in the middle of writing the rules, when i'm ready I'll post them for futher discussion:)
