*raising hand* Ok, Ms Clueless has a question.... What the heck is this project? :help:

Sorry, not ALL of us have the time to read multiple forums, and I'm at a complete loss as to what this is.

LadyEyes -

The Tale of X gamers is something first seen in WD back with Paul Sawyer in charge. Basically a small group (hence the X) choose an army to build then over a period of time they build their army using a set budget.

Each month the competitor has a set amount of month they may spend on their army, this includes the models and any bitz for conversions (not paint or glue etc). They can save money to use next month if they wish but may not go over, the whole idea is to build an army for a set amount (cost and points cost).

It was recently redone by Guy Halely's (sp) team to a lesser degree, in other words nothing like the orginal version.

Well, in the white dwarf there was a project. 4 guys off the GW staff would spend a certain fixed amount of money on GW stuff every month. They then have to finish the stuff they've bought in the same month, and then show it off.

So you choose an army, and every month you get to buy and to finish something and eventually you'll have a playable painted army :)

EDIT... damn... not fast enough :P and KU explained it better EDIT

Ahhhh.... ok.... Thank you! :D

So how much is a typical monthly budget? Just a rough idea of what we're talking about.

Do you just change the curreny indicator and keep the number the same? Or would I need to use an exchange rate? (meaning if it was EU50, would I do US$50?)

The $ and ? are about equal in value if I'm not mistaken so I think you could use the same number :)

I think 100 USD is about 75 EUR so the ratio of 3:4 should be OK

I looked it up just to be sure ;) :
100.00 USD United States Dollars = 80.4054 EUR Euro
1 USD = 0.804054 EUR and 1 EUR = 1.24370 USD
