I hope to succede with yet another tale and there is way too much GW stuff here Since I have become a big fan of skirmish games I want to try diffrent game system. My choice was Hell Dorado and it`s Saracens warband.
The game is comming back to life and in december there will be new starters released I would like to have a playable band until the february. So I means I need about 5-6 more minis.
Here is a very early wip, but just to show that I am trying to paint something to finish the tale Click to see full-sized image

Another tale ! :O you're like a painting demon it's great that you're pushing yourself to do more projects. Just remember not to let yourself get overwhelmed, but still it is a pleasant sight to see something other than GW, i think my next project after my blood ravens will also be a non-gw thing.
Nice crisp image, looking forward to seeing what you do with this one
Getting back into the thick (or rather thin as in thinning my paints) of it, not picked up a brush in some time so this may hurt a bit until I get used to the feel of them again
This is the first painted miniature for my warband. I think that the contrast in real is much stronger, especially on the trousers.
It takes me too much time to paint one mini, so I will have to change something in painting style. Or maybe paint them 2 or 3 together.
I hope you enjoy it, as much as I have painting Hell Dorado minis Click to see full-sized image
I think the trousers are the best part here. The contrast is simply best on them. The skin needs some shading. You highlighted it but it is still missing some shadow...
I agree with Mahon in that the trousers are the best part, but i would say that there is no real focus on his face as the beard/hair looks a little rushed and not as neat as other parts of the model so it detracts your attention away.
Thanks guys! If you say so - I might spend some more time with shading the skin
I take photos with dummy camera - Nicon Coolpix - and somehow the focus on the face, beard and hair is lost.
I don't think they meant the pics are out of focus, just that these important parts of the miniature (eg. face) are not eyecatching enough to focus one's attention there.
am I right?
