I kinda like both variations for the colour matches, but i think the bone colour is much more typical and suits the army colour scheme better.

I believe there is more contrast here than on Glen's minis - both on single elements and between different elements.
I'm not saying my look better, only speaking of contrast.

there's no "but" here, sea.man. I want a painted army. I don't want an army painted to high quality, or medium quality. Painted army. no other goals here, no expectations. I was trying to get nice quality on my armies for 10-15 years and failed miserably. My plan is simple and straightforward - I don't play games no more, but I will have a painted eldar army.
If you want to check my skills and quality, go to my showcase thread. there you can destroy my works with comments :) I need it as I still have a lot to learn about painting :)

I am (and don't feel) no judge to destroy anyone's works with comments.
My general comment is that with 5 extra minutes per mini (2-3 more colours/layers) the final effect could be really good compared to the time dedicated.

I don't mind. I made it pretty clear from the start that the thirty warriors weren't going to have a ton of time lavished on them. I did the IW decal on all their shoulder pads and put chevrons on most of them. The whole point of the exercise was to stretch myself by doing things I don't normally do like vehicles, decals, and freehand. I'll probably revisit the sorcerer after I've finished the daemon prince, but I was never going to put intense amounts of effort into True Metallic Metallic for the rank and file. You can't have the troops outshine the other models.

Lets see: Black, Chainmail, Brass, and yellow. Four Colors! :D

dust, spiderwebs, debris and rust...
khe, khe...

I think it's time to clean this thread a bit, and maybe even start another chapter of my tale

Kir Danaar Craftworld - chapter II

Right, the first chapter comprised 400 points of basic eldar troops. It is now time for the second chapter of my Tale and some more specialized units :)
Goal - 1000 points by Christmas... that's 600 points in 20 days... sounds like a challenge...

Anyway, I'll start with two big guys - Avatar and Wraithlord. In fact, the first one is finished, and the other one should be ready this weekend. This will give me almost 300 points at once!
Next part of the chapter will not be as easy - I want to paint some units - dark reapers or howling banshees. Maybe a transport wave serpent for one of them. Actually, 5 Reapers with exarch and wave serpent is 300 points. Sorry banshees, I think you will appear in the third chapter...
