Heya!
Some of you may already know the following from my blog but here's a summarized "WIP-Log" of what happened so far:
First things first - base had to be done:
I started by preparing the plinth, glued some corkboard at the back as a filler for a mountain wall so I won't have to use so much putty and on the last picture you can see eveything covered with milliput.

Next I sculpted the mountain and added some details to the ground:

Glued some soil and small stones to the base:

Added some details to the mountain by cutting some sharp edges with a knife and sanded the sides of the plinth:

Plinth primed:

And finally with some paint on (the cut-out part will be later filled with some 2k water ):

That's the base so far now off to the miniature itself:
First WIP with his face painted (upper body is only basecoated):

Continued with the front side of his upper body. I kept it pretty dark because most of it will be covered by his arms and therefore not visible at all or completey in a shadow area :

That's it so far. Next step will be painting his back

p1per I have to say that since I sew you post with the mad hatter you have really pusher your painting to a new level and it is a joy to follow how you work on the WIP forum keep up the great work.
