Opened the package and did a very thorough inspection on the model...

There's nothing I'd categorize as "major", such as missing parts or big chunks of flash, but there are plenty of small "hard to fix" errors, caused by bubbles. Pictures to follow.

Anyway I have contacted GW customer support by mail, telling them the quality of the product does not meet my expectations, and asking whether a replacement or a refund is possible.

To be continued....

Today (Saturday!) I received a reply. I replied I wanted a replacement, the order is already placed, so I expect a new figure next week.

Hi Gerrie

I am sorry to hear you are having problems with the Urien Rakarth model you purchased. At Games Workshop we strive to ensure that all of our products reach you in the best possible condition, unfortunately a few mis-packed products do slip through our tight quality control checks.

We will be happy to offer either a replacement or a refund for the faulty model. If you reply to this email to let us know which you would prefer then we will action that for you.

We would also very much appreciate it if you could send in some photo’s of the miscast model, as we can pass these onto our manufacturing team so that they can see the issues and implement steps to prevent this from happening again.

We look forward to your response.

Just looking at how the "Failcast" one is twisted, imo, it can't result in having a good mini

That is seriously scary...
I was thinking about GD this year and now I'm not so sure. Is there really no way to get decent (for painting purposes) cast?

I was having similar plans... I think I will have to wait a year :)

So for now I hope that the replacement (or the next) will be a perfect cast.
