I agree the red on the mini does look flat I, do have trouble to paint in the cominc style, thou I really like it, where the colours are to be lively and bright, desaturated red I think I am getting the hang off, I will post my project where I used this desaturated look to shade the colours, if I ever finish the danm thing :banghead:.

I know that you shouldn't post underneath your own post. I have finally finished this project it took me ages but most of the time it was me trying to come up with the substitute of the chain that broke but I got to tired with it and fixed the original.
All in all I am actually quite happy with this mini.
As always constructive criticism is welcome.
Enjoy

I quite like this one, especially the metal shield. Rather good contrast, though I'd pull it up even more.
What I don't like here is the tree. It's too big, and this twig just don't look like a tree in that scale. it looks like a... twig.

Thank you for the complement. :)
I do agree the the tree leaves something to be desired. Unfortunately my sculpting skills are far worse. I try to find something that will match the needed result and stick it on the composition, I simply am not able to sculpt the missing bits. Top of my skills is to be able to fill in the gaps on the mini. :(
I think that I finally see some improvements in my painting, long way thou until I will be happy with my skills.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU AND ALL THE BEST FOR THE UPCOMING YEAR.

Hello,
This is another one of the WarZone minis. I do not remember her name thou, she came with the Brotherhood chapel set.
This is actually the second time that I am painting her. Still not entirely happy with the pain job, the models from WZ are quite demanding.
I hope that you will enjoy the pics, comments are welcome as always.

i would say minature looks clean ( more then bofore)
white / grey habit could be better but white and black are actualy one of hardest to pul properly
- guns and face = best parts of mini
boots looks good to

blue parts - not so impressed - but not to dirty

colors - brown belt melds with "cross" on the front

Maru,
Thanks for the advice. I know that the two colours are the hardest to paint as you can not go brighter than white and darker than black. I try to stay away from those two colours.
Regarding the blue parts I think that those are the worst parts of the mini I just couldn't figure out how the shadows would be on positioned on these parts, the sculpture of them is little unclear, or the more probable explanation I suck :) .

Demimorgana,
I only have 4 undead legionnaires :(. For that reason I leave then for special occasions when I come up with a really good idea for a base for them, this is the hardest part of mini painting for me, I can never figure out a good base for my projects.

Thank you for your comments.

gotta agree with what maru said.
also, the base looks untidy, both paintjob on stones and base side.

cross is my favourite part here, nice job.

well if sculpt suck at proper details - just paint them over :)
google desired material and just check how it looks on a model - check Ana's galery - she paint things on models that don't exist on sculpts like texture , or iven folds and shadows
