I entered year 2016 like a bull and painted Drune Minotaur from my beloved Rackham Confrontation 🙂 To be honest, I never liked this mini – he is quite ugly, even for a minotaur (but still is much better than those Games Workshop ones). Or maybe it was very dark official painting that discouraged me? Anyway, since I had the mini I decided to paint it my way. I think the color scheme matches my other Kelt Drunes.
Now that I look at him painted – I even like it 😉
As the last mini of 2015 I painted Yuan Yuan – mercenary for Infinity the Game. I chose manufacturer’s color scheme because it fits this mini well and it was a nice change from colors that I usually use.
After painting many Darklands barbarians and Confrontation barbarians I decided to paint something completly different. After looking in my figure stash I decided to paint Kurgan the barbarian from Black Forest Miniatures 🙂
The figure is made of grey resin and the quality of the cast and details is very good (comparatible to Mierce Miniatures ones).
I did not use bright colors, except for blood on his axe 🙂
I promise you that my next mini wil be really sweet and will have nothing to do with barbarians!
To rest from painting brutal barbarians, I decided to paint something sweet and innocent – Anwyn, female bard from Reaper Miniatures. However I didn’t escape completly from the drunes, as I painted her in similar colors – such a habbit…
The mini was sculpted by famous Werner Klocke – you can see his style clearly.
I would like to present you beginning of my Confrontation army of Kelts of the Drune Clan. So far I painted 4 of them, but another dozens are wainting for their chance to raid and to loot!
Let’s start with 3 very naughty girls: Lanyfh of the Black Woods (limited edition mini)
Morgwen the Bloody
and Feylhin the Savage.
And here is the first of Drune Persecutors
